This development of 86 new-build homes draws inspiration from the area’s rural heritage and the traditional barn architecture that defines its landscape. The design explores the balance between heritage and modern living, creating interiors that feel connected to their surroundings while responding to contemporary ways of life.

THE MATERIALITY OF PLACE
The material palette across the scheme is centred around the guiding concepts, drawing on historic architectural detailing and the layered textures and tonal variations of the surrounding landscape. These influences are translated through carefully considered material selections, bespoke joinery forms, and a refined architectural language.
A palette of warm timbers, natural stone flooring, and neutral tones creates a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Rich textures and subtle tonal contrasts add depth and character, resulting in a refined, cohesive interior that feels both timeless and deeply connected to its context.
